"The going rate for a single product inclusion in an independent movie usually ranges from $50,000 to $250,000." Some existing television shows are produced entirely by product placement fees, so basic cable advertisements are all profit. (See for example the Food Network show "Chopped.")
We offer options for $100 to guarantee discount pricing on product placement in the graphic novel and poster. We offer options for $1,000 to guarantee discount pricing in the film and in the online game. These option fees are not refundable.
We offer end-note advertising pages in the trade paperback of the novel at $1,500 per quarter page. (These can be sold now since we can modify the on-demand publication.)
On completion of deliverable product, the buyer pays on the following schedule: posters $500 each; graphic novel $5,000; trade paperback $8,000; film $60,000; game $20,000. The first million sales are included. For distribution in excess of one million copies sold, the buyer pays $2 per ten thousand copies for the poster, $3 per ten thousand copies for the graphic novel; $4 per ten thousand copies for the trade paperback; $5 per 10,000 tickets sold for the film; $4 per ten thousand subscriptions sold for the game. The option buyer gets a 10% discount in each case. Some fees marked post-production are required prior to film release during the post- production stage of the film (editing and special effects). Notice that as product placements increase, we can dramatically decrease sales prices using this formula. We make it up on back-end distribution fees to the product placers.
